No Display |
|
|
|
- Check to see if the printer is turned on.
- Reseat power cables.
|
|
|
|
Printer is Offline |
|
|
|
- Press the Go or Online button on the Printer.
- Power the printer off for 1 minute and then turn it back on.
|
|
|
|
Paper Jam |
|
|
|
Contact the Help Desk at 412.237.3275 to request
that a technician clear the paper jam. Do not
attempt to clear the jam, since sensitive parts may
be damaged in the process.
|
|
|
|
Low Toner |
|
|
|
- If the printer is reporting low toner, please try to
remove and shake the toner cartridge. Shaking the
toner cartridge will evenly distribute toner and will
allow the cartridge to last longer.
- If you have shaken the toner cartridge multiple
times and the display still says low toner, please
contact the Help Desk at 412-237-3275.

Processing Job |
|
|
|
- If the printer displays Processing Job and
nothing has printed in over 5minutes, press the Cancel
button on the printer.
- If the job will not cancel, power the printer off
for 1 minute and turn it back on.

|
|
I/O
error |
|
|
|
- Try turning the printer off and on. If that does not
work, please contact the Help Desk.
|
|
|
|
Tray Empty |
|
|
|
- Verify that there is paper in the printer.
- If the paper is not recognized, try turning the
printer off and on.
|
|
|
|
Deleting Stuck Print Jobs |
|
|
|
- To delete a print job, press the
Cancel button on the printer.
- You can also delete your own jobs by
clicking Start >
Printers, double-click the problem
printer and delete the job from the
list.
- If you are having a problem deleting
a print job, please contact the Help
Desk.
- The printer may need to be powered
off for 1 minute to clear out its
internal memory.
